The arrest resulted from an incident just after 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, when 33-year-old Brendan Clarke threatened a victim with a knife at a North Salem residence, according to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police.
The incident happened with a child present, Hicks said.
After his arrest, Clarke was charged with second-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and acting in a manner to injure a child less than 17.
He was then arraigned in the Town of North Salem Court and released on his own recognizance.
